Shibaura Machine LWB, the European subsidiary of Japanese injection moulding machinery manufacturer Shibaura Machine, has appointed Puebla Vendrell Engineering Systems to support its commercial development in Spain.

The new partner, replacing Olmos Maquinaria Reparacion (Olmaq), will distribute horizontal and vertical thermoplastic injection moulding machines as well as automation solutions.

According to Shibaura Machine, the agreement is intended to strengthen local sales coverage and customer support, shorten response times and support the development of new injection moulding and automation projects.

The appointment is part of Shibaura Machine’s broader efforts to strengthen its EMEA network.
In July, the group appointed Azhar Cons to support commercial development in France and North Africa  and signed a memorandum of understanding with EPF Plastic to assess the establishment of a joint venture for the sales and servicing of injection moulding machines and automated cells in Italy and Southern Europe.
