Röchling Industrial has acquired Polypres Mediterráneo, a Spanish manufacturer of polyolefin sheets based in Alfarrasí, near Valencia.
Founded in 2000 and employing more than 60 people, Polypres produces polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) sheets for applications including the chemical, food and paper industries, as well as mechanical engineering.

The transaction follows the acquisition in March of the operating business of Germany-based Terbrack Kunststoff.

“Customers will benefit from an even stronger European manufacturing and service network, enhanced delivery capabilities, and greater security of supply. The combination of the three companies creates additional capacity and redundancy within our network while broadening the range of products and applications we can offer. This enables us to serve our customers across Europe even more reliably in the long term and to ensure flexible and resilient supply chains,” says Wilhelm Korte-Dirxen, COO of Röchling Industrial.
