The Italian manufacturer Marchesini Group has appointed Valerio Soli (pictured) as its new CEO, ending seven months of interim leadership under the group’s president, Maurizio Marchesini.
Born in Bologna, Italy, in 1964, and holding a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Bologna, Soli most recently served as president of Ipack Ima, an Italian exhibition dedicated to packaging, materials, and technologies. Before that, he gained extensive experience with the Coesia Group.
“We are delighted to welcome Engineer Valerio Soli to our group as chief executive officer,” said Maurizio Marchesini, president of Marchesini Group. “With his many years of experience in the world of automatic machinery and processes, we are confident he will support and drive our growth while upholding the values that have always defined our company’s history.”
“We have never doubted the need for a CEO from outside the family, someone capable of bringing freshness, expertise, and vision,” he added. “In 2024, Marchesini Group delivered consistently strong performance, closing the year with growing orders and an export share exceeding 80%. These trends make us optimistic about building a solid foundation for 2025.”
