As of 24 August, Christian Previati (pictured) has been appointed Executive Director of Italian exhibition company Ipack Ima, where he will work alongside CEO Simone Castelli on the development of the company’s activities and new projects.

Ipack Ima is a joint venture between Ucima, the Italian association of packaging machinery manufacturers, and Fiera Milano. The company organises B2B exhibitions dedicated to industrial technologies, including Ipack-Ima, the international trade fair specialising in processing and packaging technologies and materials for the food and non-food sectors.

Previati takes up the position following extensive experience in the professional exhibition industry. He previously served as Exhibition Manager of KEY - The Energy Transition Expo, the international event organised by Italian Exhibition Group and dedicated to the energy transition, where he also oversaw its strategic repositioning. After leaving IEG, he joined ECO The Photovoltaic Group in 2025 as Marketing Director. Earlier in his career, he spent 13 years at MADE Eventi in sales and marketing roles.

In his new role, he will contribute to developing Ipack Ima’s business and strengthening the ecosystem of exhibitions, projects and new formats managed by the company.
