Ahead of the first provisions of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) becoming applicable on 12 August, the European Commission has released an updated version of its Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to clarify some of the legislation’s most complex aspects.

Compared with the first edition, published in March (read article), the second edition introduces several changes and addresses topics not covered in the previous version. It also reiterates that the FAQs do not replace, supplement or amend the provisions of the PPWR.
