Kiefel, a German maker of thermoforming equipment and part of the Brückner Group, has appointed Matthias Sieverding as new CEO. Previously responsible for Brückner Group USA, he assumed the role on Sept. 1, replacing Thomas Halletz.
Under Sieverding's leadership, the German company aims to expand its global presence and innovate its portfolio by integrating digital technologies to streamline processes and procedures. Some developments will be previewed during the Kiefel Packaging Dialogue Days, scheduled for October.
Sieverding boasts more than 25 years of international experience in the plastics and mechanical engineering sectors. He joined Brückner Group USA in 2021 as head of the group's regional platform. Previously, he held various managerial positions at KraussMaffei and Poeppelmann Plastics.
Kiefel and its subsidiaries, which are active in the construction of thermoforming molds in the Netherlands and Austria (Kiefel Packaging), employ a total of 900 staff.
