Envalior has harmonised the branding and nomenclature of its PA6, PA66 and PBT materials to offer customers a simpler, clearer and more intuitive product portfolio.
From 1 February, Durethan becomes Envalior’s global brand for PA6 compounds, Akulon for all PA66-based compounds, and Pocan for the PBT range and related blends.
At the same time, the German company has introduced a unified nomenclature for Durethan and Akulon materials, alongside a distinct nomenclature structure for Pocan products.
The aim is to make the portfolio easier to navigate and to support accurate material identification.
To ensure continuity and transparency during the transition, both the legacy and new designations will appear on all documentation until 31 December this year. Envalior will also continue to accept orders using the former brands and nomenclatures until 31 July 2026. From 1 August 2026, only orders placed under the new brands and naming conventions will be accepted.
The initiative affects only commercial branding and naming. Material composition, product specifications, certifications and material codes remain unchanged, ensuring full technical and regulatory continuity for customers.
