Following its acquisition in January by the private equity firm Apollo Global Management, the industrial group Barnes has been reorganized into two fully independent companies: Barnes Aerospace, which will focus on components for the aerospace sector, and The Industrial Solutions Group, dedicated to advanced engineering solutions for industrial applications. The reorganization reflects the company’s previous divisional structure.
Industrial Solutions Group incorporates several key players in the field of plastics processing equipment and mold-making, including Synventive Molding Solutions, Thermoplay and its Italian subsidiary HPE, as well as Männer, Priamus, Foboha, Gammaflux, and the Italian automation specialist Gimatic.
Thomas J. Hook has been appointed chief executive officer of Industrial Solutions Group. “Today marks a new chapter for Industrial Solutions Group, which brings together the market-leading business units Molding Solutions, Force & Motion Control, and Automation,” said Hook. “As a standalone company, we are better positioned to sharpen our focus on delivering highly engineered solutions for our customers, expanding into adjacent markets and accelerating innovation across our businesses. With a talented and passionate team, and the resources to execute on our long-term vision, the Industrial Solutions Group is well situated to scale effectively and drive growth across the industries we serve.”
Industrial Solutions Group operates through three divisions: Molding Solutions, which focuses on integrated systems for injection molding; Force & Motion Control, specializing in force and motion control systems and precision components; and Automation, a provider of solutions for Industry 4.0 applications across various sectors.
