The Italian polymer industry has lost a prominent entrepreneur, Paolo Radici, who passed away at 77. Alongside his brothers, Angelo and Maurizio, he led RadiciGroup, a Bergamo-based chemical group known for producing polyamides for plastic and textile applications. He was also involved in Itema and Geogreen.
The three brothers carried forward their grandfather Pietro Radici’s business legacy, which began in the 1940s in the textile industry. Pietro's son Gianni later passed it on to his children.
Today, RadiciGroup employs 3,000 people and has a turnover exceeding 1.5 billion euros, with interests in both the chemical and energy sectors.
“It is with deep sorrow that RadiciGroup announces the passing of Paolo Radici, shareholder and board member. His presence and dedication will leave an indelible mark on the history of the Group,” said a company statement.
