Vynova to cease PVC production in the Netherlands

Yet another petrochemical plant closure in Europe. Overcapacity, international competition and weak demand are behind the decision.

Vynova Plant Geelen Netherlands Europe’s hemorrhage of petrochemical capacity shows no sign of abating. The latest announcement comes from Vynova, which plans to halt PVC production at its Beek-Geleen site, inside the Chemelot industrial park, Netherlands, this November.
