Federica Gallicchio (pictured right) is the new managing director of EuPC (European Plastics Converters), the Brussels-based federation representing Europe’s plastics converting industry, taking over from Paolo Bochicchio, who had held the position since last autumn.
Gallicchio joined EuPC in 2019 and has since built a strong track record within the organization. Initially working within the Packaging Division, she soon took on a leadership role in the Automotive Division while also promoting innovation across the European plastics value chain through her involvement in several EU-funded initiatives in close cooperation with major European R&D centers active in the plastics and composites sectors.
She brings with her strong experience in institutional representation and an in-depth understanding of EU legislative processes, having previously worked in the office of a member of the European Parliament active in the ENVI Committee. According to EuPC, this combination of public policy insight and industrial know-how makes her particularly well-suited to lead the organization at a time of regulatory and technological transformation.
“Federica brings invaluable expertise, having worked closely with EuPC members for many years and having been deeply involved in the plastics industry,” said Benoît Hennaut, president of EuPC (pictured left). “Her understanding of both the regulatory landscape and the practical needs of our members makes her the perfect profile to lead EuPC in this new chapter.”
“The coming years will be critical for our sector, and I am fully committed to supporting EuPC in addressing both challenges and opportunities ahead,” commented Gallicchio after her official appointment during the EuPC 2025 General Assembly.
