As is customary, Fakuma does not take place in the same year as the Düsseldorf-based K show. Consequently, the 30th edition of the plastics processing fair will be held next year, from Oct. 12 to 16, 2026, in Friedrichshafen, on the shores of Lake Constance.
Although the event is still 18 months away, organizer P. E. Schall has announced that two-thirds of the available exhibition space has already been booked.
Major international players in injection molding have confirmed their presence, underlining the continued global appeal of the fair.
The 2024 edition of Fakuma welcomed 36,675 visitors and hosted 1,639 exhibitors — 47.5% of whom came from abroad — once again confirming the event’s international character. Organizers noted that, as the show closed its doors, many companies had already signed up for both the 2026 and 2027 editions.
To mark the 30th anniversary, a new schedule format will be introduced. The five-day event will now run from Monday to Friday, eliminating the traditional Saturday closing. The change was jointly decided by the organizers and the exhibitor advisory board following a consultation that revealed a strong preference for a weekday format.
