The UK-based Spectrum Medical has acquired RB-Mold&Mold, an Italian company renowned for injection molding and molding tools. The company is headquartered in Mirandola, Modena, a hub of the Italian biomedical industry.

RB-Mold&Mold employs 70 workers and features a tooling department and a iniectjon molding hall equipped with IMM with clamping forces ranging from 5 to 400 tons, including a bimaterial machine, for producing medical, food, cosmetic, and technical components.

Founded in 1973 as R.B. srl, the company specialized in the design and manufacture of complex, high-precision tools. In 2011, the company relocated to a new 3,300-square-meter facility, where the molding department operates in an class ISO 8 cleanroom, producing components for the biomedical, food packaging, and cosmetic sectors.

Co-founded by Steve Turner and Mark Drain, Spectrum Medical is based in Cheltenham, England, with branches in the United States and now in Mirandola, following its acquisition, in 2017, of a stake in the Italian company Qura, specializes in the production of medical equipment.
