After the sites in Italy and the United Kingdom, Venator’s German operation has also found a new owner: the International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG), which has agreed to take over the Duisburg plant, which employs 350 people.
The plant entered insolvency proceedings in September last year and, following the appointment of a provisional administrator, remained operational, producing functional additives for the plastics, coatings and cosmetics sectors. Most titanium dioxide production (50,000 t/y) was transferred to Uerdingen, also in Germany.
