Synthos, the Polish group active in the production of elastomers, expanded polystyrene (EPS) and adhesives, has appointed Agata Gladysz-Stanczyk (pictured) as its new CEO. She replaces Zbigniew Warmuz, who has been appointed Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Gladysz-Stanczyk joined the group in 2020 and, before her latest appointment, served as Director of the Insulation Materials Business Unit. 
She previously gained professional experience at international companies in areas including sales, marketing, innovation, production, research and development, and finance.

Since 2025, she has been President of the European Manufacturers of Expanded Polystyrene Association (EUMEPS), the European association representing the expanded polystyrene value chain.

Synthos, Europe’s leading producer of elastomers and EPS, operates six plants in Poland, Czechia, the Netherlands, Germany and France, as well as four research and development centres. Overall, it employs more than 3,600 people. In 2016, it acquired Ineos’ EPS business and, five years later, Trinseo’s elastomers business.
