The Presidential and Nomination Committee of Austrian petrochemicals group OMV has nominated Emma Delaney (pictured) as future Chairwoman of the Executive Board and CEO, effective September 1, 2026.
Once the appointment is ratified, she will succeed Alfred Stern, who announced last year that he would not be available for a new term.
The nomination, which will be submitted to the next meeting of the Supervisory Board, provides for a three-year mandate, with an option to extend it by an additional two years by mutual agreement.
At the same Supervisory Board meeting, a two-year extension of Reinhard Florey’s mandate as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will also be decided.
BIOGRAPHY. An Irish citizen, Emma Delaney has extensive experience in the energy sector. In her current role as Executive Vice President at one of bp’s three global businesses, she is responsible for an organisation with more than 50,000 employees in around 50 countries, spanning fuels and biofuels, industrial and automotive lubricant production, as well as aviation fuels and e-mobility.
