The organisers of Plastics Recycling Show Europe (PRSE 2026), one of Europe’s key events for the plastics recycling value chain, have published the preliminary programme and announced the main speakers for the two-day conference, to be held on 5–6 May at RAI Amsterdam.
Jessika Roswall, European Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy, and Ton Emans, President of Plastics Recyclers Europe, will open the event with the keynote “From Crisis to Competitiveness: Re-Building the European Plastics Recycling Industry”.
Parallel sessions will run across two theatres, featuring keynotes, roundtables, technical presentations and sponsor sessions focused on policy, innovation and market trends.
Topics will include the competitiveness of Europe’s plastics recycling value chain, pathways to restoring it, EU regulation, and how to create favourable investment conditions to support innovation and sector growth.
Further sessions will explore market opportunities and challenges across different segments, including polyurethane recycling, which appears on the PRS Europe agenda for the first time, with a contribution from Michel Baumgartner, Director General of Europur.
Confirmed speakers include Kristin Geidenmark Olofsson, Raw Material Leader Recycled Polymers at IKEA; Marta Iglesias Émbil, Head of Product Environmental Affairs / R&D at SEAT, S.A.; Gian De Belder, Technical Director – Packaging Sustainability at Procter & Gamble; Virginia Janssens, Managing Director of Plastics Europe; Yvonne van Veen, Head of Advocacy at INEOS; Ermis Panagiotopoulos, Head of Sustainability Advocacy EMEA at Indorama; and Manfred Hackl, CEO of the EREMA Group.
Interactive panel discussions will address themes such as innovation-led investment, promoting sustainable demand through voluntary pledges, securing feedstock supply for recycling, tackling greenwashing, and the role of traceability in global plastics trade.
As in previous editions, the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe ceremony will take place during the event, recognising innovation within the European plastics recycling industry.
The latest edition of the show and conference, held in 2025, set new records, with 13,000 participants—2,000 more than in 2024—and more than 500 exhibitors.
