Swiss plastic closures producer Corvaglia Group has appointed Marcel Dissel (pictured centre) as its new chief executive officer (CEO), tasking him with leading the next phase of the company’s development by drawing on his entrepreneurial background.
After 14 years with Corvaglia Group, including 11 years as CEO, Michael Krueger (left) will move into the role of chief innovation officer (CIO). In this position, he will focus on portfolio development, innovation, and the exploration of new business fields, applications and technologies.
Rufat Dauti (right) has been appointed managing director of Corvaglia Mould, tthe group company responsible for building injection moulding tools. The appointment is in addition to his current role as chief technology officer.
Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Eschlikon, the Corvaglia Group supplies closures for beverage packaging and serves numerous major producers worldwide. Around 20% of all PET soft drink bottles globally are fitted with closures manufactured by the Swiss company.
In addition to its Swiss site, Corvaglia produces plastic closures in Ixtlahuaca, Mexico, and Newnan, in the United States. The group employs more than 300 people in total, around half of them outside Switzerland.
