Farrel Pomini, a manufacturer of continuous mixing systems for the polymer processing industry, has acquired a majority stake in UK-based WF Recycle-Tech, in which it already held a minority interest.
WF Recycle-Tech owns a chemical recycling technology based on pyrolysis to process end-of-life tyres (ELT). Using tyre residues as feedstock, the process produces pyrolysis oil, gas and recovered carbon black at the end of the cycle.
A key element of the process is Farrel Pomini’s Farrel Continuous Mixer (FCM), which melts and homogenises the incoming material before it is fed into the pyrolysis reactor.
According to the US company, the acquisition will strengthen global support for WF Recycle-Tech’s technology and accelerate its adoption worldwide.
Farrel Pomini is based in Ansonia, Connecticut (USA), and has been part of HF Group since 2010. The group was created through the integration of Farrel Corporation (USA), Pomini Rubber & Plastics Srl (Italy) and Harburg-Freudenberger (Germany) as HF Mixing Group. In 2024, HF Mixing Group and HF TireTech Group merged to form HF Group.
