Next year, Milan will host a major cross-sector event bringing together the plastics, wood and composite materials industries. Plast 2026, the triennial exhibition dedicated to plastics and rubber, will now be part of MaTec – Next Materials and Technologies, taking place June 9–12, 2026, at Fiera Milano.
Having exited The Innovation Alliance network — where its green offshoot GreenPlast remains — Plast is joining forces with Xylexpo, the biennial international trade show for wood processing and furniture manufacturing technologies, and Composites Future, a brand-new exhibition and conference focusing on composite materials, organized under the patronage of Assocompositi, Italy’s national composites association.
“The formation of Federazione Confindustria Macchine,” said Enrico Aureli, president of Xylexpo and Acimall (the Italian woodworking machinery manufacturers’ association), “and the growing alignment between associations representing capital goods manufacturers for plastics, wood, ceramics and packaging — combined with the strategic inclusion of the composites sector — allows us to look to the future of our trade fair from a new perspective. We’re embracing integration and collaboration to offer visitors and exhibitors an innovative platform to discover technologies from closely related sectors, which increasingly offer shared solutions to common challenges.”
Exhibitors interested in Plast 2026 should note that a 20% early booking discount is still available until July 31, 2025.
