Sikora is now part of the Dover Corporation industrial group and will operate under the umbrella of the Swiss-based MAAG Group, reinforcing the Pumps & Process Solutions division. The acquisition deal was finalized in recent days, valuing the enterprise at €550 million.
Founded in 1973 by Harald Sikora and headquartered in Bremen, Germany, the company specializes in precision measurement, inspection and control equipment for sectors including cable and wire, rigid and flexible tubing, sheets, optical fiber and plastics. Sikora employs around 450 people across its headquarters and 13 international subsidiaries. It closed 2024 with revenues of approximately €100 million, having achieved double-digit organic growth over the past three years.
MAAG operates in the field of polymer processing equipment, covering everything from pumping and filtration to pelletizing, pulverizing and plastic recycling technologies. Its brands include Automatik, Ettlinger, Gala, Maag, Reduction, Scheer and Xantec.
Both companies have a strong presence in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and well-established global networks.
“Sikora’s outstanding products address similar customer needs in resin-related markets to ours, and its offerings provide MAAG with increased exposure to highly attractive market adjacencies where we have existing industry knowledge and customer relationships,” said MAAG President Ueli Thuerig. “Our shared capabilities and go-to-market strategies will generate material cross-selling benefit with a highly complementary portfolio of products and technologies, deepening our joint value proposition and integration with our OEM partners and end customers.”
The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of this year, subject to standard closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
Following integration into MAAG, Harald Sikora will continue to support the company in an advisory role. Operational leadership will remain unchanged to ensure continuity: Christian Frank (pictured), CEO since 2015, will stay at the helm, and Holger Lieder — part of the sales team for over 20 years and current board member — has been confirmed as global sales director.
