Lattonedil, an Italian specialist in insulating panels, is set to start production in Romania through a strategic partnership with local firm Proinvest Group, known for its expertise in steel components and industrial building systems.
The joint venture aims to tap into growing demand for insulating panels across Eastern European markets. A new Romanian company will be established this summer, with Lattonedil holding a 75% stake. The venture will incorporate Proinvest Group’s insulating panels division along with its existing facility in Stolniceni-Prajescu, in northeastern Romania.
The site currently operates two production lines for polyurethane and mineral wool panels, with an annual capacity exceeding 3 million square meters.
“This agreement allows us to quickly establish a presence in a strategic region and seize growth opportunities not only in the Romanian market but also in the potential reconstruction and recovery of Ukraine, which we all hope will come soon,” said Sergio Bettio, CEO of Lattonedil.
Founded in 1969, Lattonedil leads a European group with 13 manufacturing sites across Italy, Spain, Germany, France, and Bosnia, and reports consolidated revenues exceeding €400 million.
Proinvest Group, established in 2000, designs and manufactures steel components and construction systems. The company operates eight facilities with 369 employees and generates around €50 million in annual revenue.
