The European Plastic Pipes and Fittings Association (Teppfa) has appointed Przemyslaw Hruszka (pictured) as its new technical manager, succeeding Peter Sejersen, who—after nearly a decade of dedicated service to the association—has chosen to scale back his professional activities to the Nordic region following his official retirement.
A Polish national, Hruszka holds a doctorate in technical science in chemical technology and a Master of Science in materials science engineering.
Before joining Teppfa, he served as global manager for standardization, certification, and product regulation at Wavin Technology & Innovation in the Netherlands and as certification and standardization manager at Wavin Poland. Wavin, a Teppfa member company, is part of the Orbia Group.
"We are thrilled to welcome Przemyslaw to the association’s team," said Ludo Debever, general manager of Teppfa. "Finding an industry expert to support our critical working groups on standardization and certification, as well as drinking water quality, was no easy task".
"His insights from Eastern Europe will be invaluable in addressing the region’s significant infrastructure needs. Our members—plastic pipe and fittings manufacturers—are dedicated to improving living standards and especially enhancing water infrastructure for citizens across Europe."
Teppfa was founded in 1991 and is headquartered in Brussels. The association includes 14 multinational companies and 13 national associations across Europe, representing 350 plastic pipe and fittings manufacturers. Its members produce a total of 4 million tonnes annually, employ 40,000 people directly, and generate a combined revenue of approximately €12 billion.
