A leadership transition has taken place at the Italian group Sacmi, with Andrea Grandi stepping in as Sacmi Group General Manager. He replaces Mauro Fenzi, whose term ended on Dec. 31.
Andrea Grandi, a 49-year-old electronics engineer, brings nearly 25 years of experience within the Sacmi Group, where he has held managerial roles in mechatronics and industrial automation.
His career began in the Special Pressing Business Unit, where he worked for 18 years before becoming Metals PU Manager. In 2020, Grandi was appointed general manager of the Advanced Technologies Business Unit.
Over the past three years, he has held critical roles as operations and plant director and later as corporate product supply manager, showcasing his expertise in operational management and driving innovation.
Beyond his work at Sacmi, Grandi is a member of the Forming Committee of UCIMU, the Association of Italian Machine Tool, Robot and Automation Manufacturers, and a past member of the Technical Committee of AIM, the Italian Metallurgy Association.
