Two years after opening a North American subsidiary, Italian company SAIP has strengthened its presence in the region by acquiring a majority stake in Linden Polyurethane, based near Akron, Ohio. Linden’s CEO, Jon Cocco, will continue to lead the company alongside his existing team.
SAIP, part of the Pozzi Industries Group and headquartered north of Milan, manufactures structural insulated panel equipment, including both continuous and discontinuous panel lines.
Linden specializes in polyurethane (PU) metering, processing, distribution, and storage systems for applications ranging from EV batteries to military warships. It also services and repairs all makes of PU equipment.
The acquisition will allow SAIP to expand its product portfolio and deepen its international presence, with manufacturing capabilities in Europe and North America. Meanwhile, Linden will be able to offer its customers complementary products, including processing molds, presses, carousels, and other material-handling systems to create complete turnkey solutions.
SAIP will also benefit from Linden's extensive expertise in after-sales service, leveraging it to improve support for its own customers.
“This transaction represents a win-win deal for all involved,” said SAIP CEO Walter Pozzi. “The investment will enhance customer service and accelerate the development of both companies, creating new opportunities for growth and innovation.”
